Just click "Sony Ericsson V600i" on the front page, bottom left, and you can purchase the very latest Sony Ericsson 3G handset online now.

With the V600i, and this prompt release, Vodafone has demonstrated yet again its commitment to its 3G handset range. If only their coverage was up to scratch!

I look forward to your reviews!

very fast release on this and on time. The coverage is getting better, but needs to be growing at the rate like Orange.

The V600i is the same as the K600i from Orange and is an exclusive handset again for Vodafone. It appears all the V,s with SE are Vodafone exclusives

wow most impressed! Vodafone really seem to be getting them self into gear on their release dates and handsets and expanding there range quite considerably.

The actual handset looks neat i believe the one coming to three uk and t-mobile is a silver veriant with the names k600 and k608i but i am quite taken with this little thing.

As it goes i think we are going to have to wait at least a month for this on 3 and i am taking advantage of three's try before you by option in the mean time.

So common three keep up with the market!

Its a real shame this one like the K600i has no expandable memory. But its a step forward for the non tech 3G handsets and will only entise more people into the 3G world

You said the magic word there - 'advertised'.

P4U were advertising the 6680 long before they actually had stock.

lol yea but they did have it in the shop window with the nk 6680 next to it saying half price so i was prusuming it was in there

Again, they had big cardboard cutouts of the Nokia 6680 in their windows down here, but didn't actually have any phones.

As soon as the marketing material comes, up it goes. You should've gone in and asked - then you'd be able to tell us whether it was out or not! ;)

Are any operators including free or cross-network minutes in their tariffs? I was tempted by the V600i but at 60p per minute how is videocalling going to be any more than a novelty. I may as well get a K750i.

Orange offer a few inclusive xnet video minutes for your first couple of months with their Try offer, 30 or 60 depending on your tariff, and I think Three have an inclusion on some of their higher tariffs too.

There doesn't seem be anything much to encourage video calling use at the moment though it has to be said :(

Had a proper look at this today in the Vodafone shop. To be honest 3GSU the phone is not huge at all. its weighs a bit more than the 6210i and its not that different in size, This phone will get the non techies involved in 3G.

Well I will tell you more tommorrow. I have done my usual trick and got my phone exchanged for a different handset - my Nokia 6680 - What have I done.

Anyway, if its crap, I will swop back.

Vodafone in 8 months
