Just looking at these maps on GSMWorld...

Here's Vodafone's 3G coverage map: http://www.gsmworld.com/cgi-bin/ni_map.pl?cc=gb&net=v3

There's a hell of a lot of coverage marked on there!!

Compare it with Three's 'updated' map: http://www.gsmworld.com/cgi-bin/ni_map.pl?cc=gb&net=hu

Excuse me if I rub my eyes again... Something's definitely not right! Vodafone's 2G coverage also seems very overstated compared to the other networks to be honest, even compared to O2's.

Thoughts?

Seems a bit over the top. Vodafone's own coverage map appears to be more accurate.

I think I'll go with the one Voadafone publish!

Supposedly those maps are provided by the networks... but to be honest it's only slightly more understated than the GSMWorld maps! http://www.vodafone.co.uk/coverage.htm?zl=5&x=1&y=1&st=UK%20Postcode&ct=gprs

Edit: Looks like they've been overstating phone features (http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.viewPayMonthlyHandsetDet ails&action=getPayMonthlyHandsetDetails&intHandsetID=177&variationID=64) too! "Quad -band phone for use on five continents" should of course be Tri-band. The handset is also dual-mode, but that's not the same thing.
