I'm a bit confused with text files and my 6680. If I make a txt file on the computer and put it on the phone, it does work with the notes program but I have to use FExplorer to open it which is a bit annoying. Can I open it through the notes program somehow? Also, why wont quick word open it? It says file format not supported or something. I need it to be a .txt file. (although when I made it a .doc file quick workd still wasn't happy)
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers

Also, is there a program that can open pocketword files (.pwi)?

lmao! Just tried to open the .pwi file and the Windows web service doesn't know what it is. It suggests filext.com that, worrying, does know!

So it's definitely a Microsoft-written document, yet Micrososft don't seem to have a way of opening it. Great. Even worse, Microsoft Word can't open it and neither can Wordpad or Notepad. It makes a very very strong case for Symbian ;)

Wordpad does allow you to see some parts of the text, amongst the encoded rubbish.

Just tried emailing myself a text file and it opened fine in Notes... however now I can't find where the hell it has saved the attachment!

Aha!
I just downloaded MSActiveSync or whatever its called Here (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/activesync38.mspx) and now it opens .wpi files in MS word. So at least I can read it on the computer. Still would be good if there was a symbian program that could open them.
