Hi there,

I think I have some kind of bug..

Everytime I turn my mobile on it tells me I have '3 new messages' followed by the 'listen to new voicemail' note..
As well as that - the envelope icon and the voicemail icon appear on the top right of the screen.
The only way I can get rid of all of this is by calling my voicemail (only for it to tell me I have no new messages) and then deleting a read text message.

Its all a bit odd and I've tried updating my firmware..
That worked - but when I did a system restore the problem came back.

So maybe its related to software?
I dunno.

I'd appreciate it if anyone could help or point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

WD.

That it only came back after you restored your memory would suggest that it's something on there it's not liking. Either that, or that was just coincidence and it's just a network issue.

Unless I'm mistaken, the phone knows to display the voicemail prompt due to signals transmitted to it from the network. It's possible that the network is screwed somehow? You could try leaving a new voice message, listening to it and deleting it.

Have you tried reporting this to CS?

I haven't yet.
When I get a new voicemail - its ok. Everything works fine.
Its only when I turn it on - "3 new messages" and "listen to new voicemail"
But yeah - it could be a network issue. I hadn't thought of that.

I'll give them a call later.

Cheers mate.
