Store shelves are set to be turning a shocking pink this Christmas as manufacturers and operators bid to cash in on the gift market and the popularity of pink handsets.
The Carphone Warehouse has already finalised deals to stock a range of pink phones for its end-of-year push. Woolworths, the most popular vendor of pink phones, claimed to have secured a pink exclusive on Samsungs E330 this week and is sure to be well stocked with pink phones in the run-up to Christmas.
Nokia handsets will also be available in pink hues later this year, a departure from its traditional sober tones. The manufacturer is also believed to have finalised large deals for its pink phones with operators and retailers.
Sagem has also agreed terms with at least one operator to supply pink phones, while Motorola currently has a pink variant of its V220 available in Carphone.
