The Vodafone on-line store now offer the Motorola V-980 at £89.99 and the Samsung Z140 at £116.99 on PAYG.

The Samsung looks good with 50MB internal memory a rotating VGA camera and it has Bluetooth.

If you think Vodafone are bad, look back to some of the Orange software disasters recently.

I'm glad Vodafone are starting to push 3G pre-pay. By the time Christmas comes they could have another few pre-pay models in their pre-pay portfolio.

All 3G handsets sold in the UK that are subsidised by networks have some customisation.

It is a matter a personal taste whether one likes or dislikes the branding.

Both of the Vodafone handsets above have a very comprehensive range of 3G features and they must be worthy of some serious consideration at the new lower prices on offer.

I understand that the Orange active menu is not well liked on the 6680 with loads os users going to all lengths to get them debranded. Glad I got my 6630 from O2 stock although I got it on eBay.

I have a 6680 on Vodafone, bought from a Vodafone store, and tbh I can't see what they have branded other than the live! menu. Certainly had no software issues what-so-ever.

On most Vodafone phones you can't use MP3's as ringtones, you can only use Vodafone-purchased tracks. I doubt that'd be a dealbreaker for a well spec'd PAYG 3G handset at £116.99 though.

In Vodafone's defence I have a Vodafone-branded 6230 and, like your 6680, the customisations aren't OTT and I've never had a software problem.

For some reason - Vodafone stopped the 6630 from using MP3s as ringtones but not the 6680.

No consistency whatsoever?!
It makes NO SENSE!
Arrgh..

Sorry - rant over..

Its just that I've got a 6630 and the Wife's got the '80.
