Did you know that 0800/0808 FreePhone numbers are free on Orange 'Your Plan' contracts? They are!!!

You can use the services of 'calling card' companies like www.onetel.co.uk or www.call18866.co.uk to make calls without incurring Orange call charges. The most effective use of this type of service is to use your inclusive contract minutes for UK X/Net Calls and override for all landline and calls abroad.

Money Saving Expert has a full explanation of this procedure on the website below. Its a bit more bother than making calls directly but for heavy mobile users could prove worthwhile.

Do networks get revenue from the 0800 number owner when one of their subscribers dials them? There may be an exception for charities etc, but I've always thought the recipient of the 0800/0808 call (commercial) foots per-minute or per-second charges. If that *is* the case, all networks should really offer full freephone support on all their tariffs.
