Above is a nice little ZDNet investigation into international data charges when roaming. Page 2 has a table showing that, for certain Orange customers, the price is up to £20/mb. No network gets off lightly though - despite Vodafone's large size, roaming on one of their rivals while abroad will cost you dearly.

I don't take my phone abroad, and by the looks of this, thankfully!

Not exactly a big concern for the average customer, but worth noting.

Business customers who need international data roaming have some much more attractive data deals with the major UK networks.
