...but was wondering, does it have a jack for earphones or do you have to use the ones that come with it?
Have read the reviews and phone looks fantastic, can't wait. Should be here tomorrow. Anyone have any tips or tricks? Have read you can put movies on the miniSD and watch them on the go. Is that the same format as for a PSP? :D as I have lots of those.

If you want to use non-Sharp headphones you should be able to pick up an adaptor from the likes of Mobilefun.co.uk - they're quite good at the accessories, very quick delivery, and pretty cheap too .....

NB: I don't work for them, just a [repeatedly] happy customer of theirs.

See, I'm not a happy customer of theirs. I bought a spare battery for my 6680 from them and they sent it, loose, in a plastic bag, with no hologram on. What's that all about! Still, they refunded me, so fair enough.

The headset connector is, I believe, proprietary, so yes you would need an adaptor if you want to use your own headphones.

Yea, their [Mobilefun's] after-sales policy is bang on with UK Trading Standards requirements. The way they behave you'd think they were a department of TS! I've had stuff back at them even up to 11 months for warranty work and they've replaced it with brand new, not a single quibble or bleat. They even offered a cash refund, not credit note, on a then-obsolete item.

I can happily deal with people who respect the Customer and follow TS laws, unlike a number of high street electronics names who flout or bend the laws to frustrate the customer.
