Probably been around for some time, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Three are offering a student deal that includes 100 minutes and 1000 texts for £20 a month. What makes this particularly good value, though, is that your 100 minutes can be used for 3-to-3 video calls, a great way to stay in touch with distant family and friends.
The outrageously desirable Nokia 6280 comes on the Student plan for £49.99, while some of the older 3 handsets are available for free if you're just looking for 3G on a shoestring with a load of cheap texts thrown in.
I know times have moved on quite rapidly lately, but it wasn't long ago since I paid Vodafone £18 a month for 100 mins and 100 texts... and paid for the phone!
