Trusted Reviews (http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=2524) has it that the first fuel cell has been finalised and will be coming to a laptop near you soon.
This hopefully means that fuel cells for phones wont be too far away. Yes, OK, probably not this year, but once fuel cells in general come to market then it'll spark interest in the technology again with the manufacturers.
Perhaps the laws on smoking in public places are simply to protect people against exploding mobile phones and laptops? ;)
