Had a chance to play around with a new Samsung E400i slider today. Nice phone, well specified with i-mode and all the usual bells and whistles..... so I thought.

Tried to transfer an MP3 to it - 'forbidden'. Checked the settings - OK.... then the 02 website and it does not support MP3's, nor does the Samsung E320i. (The new E500i does however).

So a word of advice if you are thinging about i-mode. Dont assume the handset supports all the usual features. I can't think why Samsung have left this off these models and suspect it'll make many think twice about them or return them within the cooling off period.

Would this of been at the request of o2?

I suspect so to promote the use of i-mode for music distribution. A big disadvantage though for users.

Hello, welcome to Talk3G :)

eBay might be a good bet, or any accessories site like mobilefun.co.uk, but I'd recommend ensuring you only get a Samsung branded battery.
