Hi All.

Having done a quick search on the web, I came across a site that has the Nokia N80’s User Guide and Data Sheet. They are both in pdf format so you can download them and read them offline at your leisure.

I thought it might be useful to all those waiting for the release of this phone as you can get a feel for what this baby can do and how to do it.

The User Guide is watermarked FCC DRAFT but is perfectly readable.

User Guide: www.techteam.gr/mobile/specs/guides/NokiaN80en.pdf
Data Sheet: www.techteam.gr/mobile/specs/datasheets/NokiaN80.datasheet.pdf

Happy reading, and let me know what you think.

Welcome to Talk3G!

Neither of those links work for me I'm afraid :(

The best I can offer is the Nokia technical specification available here: http://www.nseries.com/nseries/v2/media/product/tech_specs/en-R1/tech_specs_n80_en_R1.html?lang=en&country=R1

Could someone who can access them save the files and upload them here?
That would be grand.

As stated above, the User Guide and Data Sheet is in pdf format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. If you don't already have this programe on your PC, then that might be the reason why the link doesn't work for you.

When you click on the links there is a pause while the files load into the programme, and it will tell you in the bottom left hand corner of your browser that it is downloading.

Hope this helps.

Hi BlackRain,

It's definitely not a PDF-related issue... seems to be something to do with their webserver. Oh well, I'm glad the right-click method is working for most! Exciting times... you have to wonder if this handset can live up to the hype.

Just been looking through some other forums and found this link to the N80's Online User Guide.

www.endusersupport.nokia.com/phones/n80/nokia_n80_en.html

Something else to wet your appetite.

Let me know what you think.

Thread merged.

Under Connection Manager > Wireless Lan "To create an Internet access point in a network, select Options > Define access point."

So it sounds, to me anyway, like N80 users will be able to have their 3G handset as an access point shared by other Wi-Fi enabled computers? That'd be hella cool.

Oh man this is not good!! I cant wait much longer its torture.

Managed to not spend £630 on a Sim Free one as im keeping my 3 plan so i can upgrade the day it comes out for about £300 or i can wait 1 more month and get it free upgrade.

Problem now is i dont think i can wait after seeing the online guide with the features like wifi.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The potential of having a Wireless Access Point in your pocket is surely absolutely insane... It'll make DUN over Bluetooth look like communicating via cups and string. I could be very wrong on that though... it could just mean the address of the server on the network that the handset should use to connect.
