Hi,

Just got the lovely K750i on T-Mobile....

I connected the phone via USB to the PC and managed to transfer some MP3's from ITunes across to the Ringtones folder on the phone.

However, it took about 3-4 mins for each track to transfer across !?! is this normal, or am I missing something here ? To be honest, Im not a computer person so i was amazed that I even managed to get the bloody things to transfer :)

I thought that maybe whacking the Memory Stick into a card reader would speed the transfer process up, or am I barking up the wrong tree here ?

On the up side, the sound quality on the K750i is amazing, and in my opinion, beats my Ipod Nano hands down !

Any advice would be MUCH appreciated !!!

Callum

Generally, it is quicker to transfer between PCs and Memory cards using a Card Reader device rather than the mobile phone itself. So no barking up wrong trees for you then :D

The handset got a nice review here http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/07/08/review_sony_ericsson_k750i/ - I'd have liked it to have 3G also, but you cant have everything I suppose!

Thanks for the reply:)

Think I will pick up a card reader then....

Cheapo card readers for Memory Sticks are available at Mobymemory (http://www.mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Reader%5FUSB2%5FMS%5FDUO%5F02)

The one I've linked you to above I can vouch for as being very quick and quite neat to carry around in your pocket. It doubles as a USB memory stick if you keep a memory card installed to it!

Other readers from this firm are good quality and probably full on USB2 speed.

I've no connection with Mobymemory other than being a satisfied Customer.

Thanks mate:)

However......connected the phone to the computer this morning, messed about a bit and managed to get files going from ITunes to the memory stick in about 15 seconds !?!?!?

Very oddd, but a top result anyway he he

I have a feeling that initially, I was copying from ITunes to the phones onboard memory..
