I have installed the new version of pc suite 6.80.21. The problem i have is when the PC powers up with the bluetooth dongle in, the manage connections always has the bluetooth box unticked. Once i tick it the 6680 syncs fine. Its just a bit annoying to have to do this each time i start up my PC.
Any suggestions...

That's odd - so it just doesn't remember your settings?

Yep thats right. I wondered if it may have something to do with my Toshiba bluetooth stack as it is v3.03.13(c), and no the 4.x ?

I dunno man - I'll have a look at mine tonight and get back to you.
In the meantime however, have you emailed Nokia about it?

Yes, and they asked to unistall...etc...
I have removed the bluetooth drivers and pc suite (using the clean utility and deleting the files/folders) and re-installed, but the issue is still present.

Bizarre dude.
I'd get back onto them - the old 'uninstall it and try again' response is a bit pants if you ask me..
Quick question mind - do you not have a connectivity cable for your 6680?

I do, but i'd rather use the bluetooth rather than unpluging the cable each time. Although it would be interesting to see if it "remembers" that connection....

Just a point .... the USB cable route is about four million times faster than the Bluetooth connection. But of course that doesn't answer your question.
Sorry can't help otherwise - it works fine on my desktop with BT and USB without forgetting the settings. Are you using properietary BT support or XP's own? (I've left BT to XP to manage - it kept sodding around with the properietary drivers).

Unfortunately this is my works laptop which is only at service pack 1, so i have to load the toshiba stack/drivers......

Ok, possibly an obvious answer, but ...... when you power up the laptop is the BT dongle plugged in beforehand? Or are you plugging it in after the laptop is fully running?
Also, it may be that the Nokia PC Suite is loading into memory before the BT stack is fully operational. If that is happening then it won't know about BT at the boot time! You may find some helpful advice and tools here http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=235571
