Prices are around £50 on a £30/month tariff, silver version by the look of it.

this is very tempting, but I think I'll give my vodafone sim only deal a month at least.

Mhm. I'm curious as to what extent Orange have branded the hell out of this one. They seem to have gotten it onto the market rather quickly, which is either a very good sign, or a very VERY bad one! :D

Yet they're still for sale on the website... the joys of retail in our modern world! </sarcasm>

Its odd though that Orange new customers get priority over upgrades but when three released the 6280 it was the other way round

Been hearing rumours that Orange have disabled the WIFI feature

That would be a very nasty thing to do to such a handset!

Been hearing rumours that Orange have disabled the WIFI feature

Are they allowed to do that? Its not a "Network Service" is it as such?

Just been having a look through the instruction booklet for the Orange N80, and all the WiFi functionality seems to be there ok! Explains all the icons as well as how to connect to a LAN hotspot. Also the handset seems to have the ability to display what type of cell you're in, be it a GSM, EDGE or UMTS, this will only apply to Orange as they're the only ones offering EDGE. :)

Yes wifi is there. There is no homescreen, only branding is a small badge on the back, start up screen and web icon when on orange theme, this disappears when you change it to the nokia theme.

The 6280 I just got has no branding at all, no badge on the phone and is unlocked, the box was nokia's and yes it bought direct from orange website on contract.
