I think this goes back to that time when that unlocking site was suggesting it had BB5 unlock codes - and we had it shut down.

For the record, and afaik - unlocking BB5 can only be done by the originating network still. Unless anyone knows different.

i know different, but the indirect route can cost up to £40, and is not worth it in my honest opinion.

Hmmm, thats interesting and the first I've read anywhere - cool. Do you mean the Premium Number call to [supposedly] Nokia? For some that may be the only route, given 3's apparent policy of not unlocking any handset that is not in the original ownership.

Vodafone uk, Orange FR, and Bouyges FR nokia BB5 handsets can all be unlocked indirectly.
