3 have launched a new LG phone on prepay and contract. The U300 is rumored to be the first phone with MSN built into it ready to go because of the deal with 3.

Specs are a 1.3 megapixel rotating camera, bluetooth, expandable memory, tri-band and dual color screens.

Contract its free and on WePay its £119.99 with £30 credit.

Will be picking one up when in London this weekend as its a bargain phone so expect a review on it soon.

Until then heres a pic

Interesting.....

3 really need a decent mid-range priced handset as they have nothing really between the really cheap (and nasty) Motorola c975 and ZTE's and the Moto V3x and Lg U880. This U300 seems to fill the gap.

I doubt if it will make much of an impression on contracts as it offers a much lesser specification than the U880/890 which is already being given away on reduced line rental deals, so pre-pay looks like its best hope.

There are some pretty compelling alternatives out in the marketplace for the U300 to compete with. The excellent SonyEricsson v600i at £90 and the Samsung Z140 at £115 might make the going tough for the U300. CPW have the Motorola V3 Razr at £85 and the SonyEricsson K750i at £129 so I suspect the U300 will be of interest to those who restrict their choice of network.

A welcome new addition but to make real impact I think it would have to have a sub £100 price tag.

One other slight issue....... does it have a glued in SIM? Worth checking that out before parting with the cash.

The phone is only £89.99 but you pay for the £30 credit so you hand over £119.99 in total.

Dont think the SIM is glued in, thats only the C975 cause of the £29.99 price.
