Ok people........What's the best 3G Sony Ericsson flip type handset available at the moment in your opinion.........I have a z1010, it's pretty old now, has a crap camera.......but overall not bad for a flip brick!

I'm looking for something more up to date in a flip style, 2mg camera, good screen size, good internal memory, memory card, bluetooth, radio, mp3 player etc etc......."you know the works"

Any ideas???

Welcome to Talk3G.co.uk, the free to view and totally commercial free 3G forum.

I think you may find that the 'flip' or clamshell design has recently been eclipsed in popularity by the 'slider'.

Good new 3G handsets to have a serious look at would be the following:

Nokia N80, N91, N93, 6280
Samsung Z400, Z510, Z540
SonyEricsson V630i (Candybar), W850i (Slider)
Motorola V3x
BenQ-Siemens EF-81

Happy researching..... just about any of the above would make a good 3G companion.

If you'd like something a bit bigger in your pocket (ooooh errrrr) the SE W900i although getting a bit old (it only came out in Dec 2005!!!!!!) is a very good quality handset with tons of functionality - excellent screen, marvelous camera even tho is is only 2Mpxl and of course the Sony Walkman embedded in the handset - sounds superb as only Sony do! It does 3G very well indeed, and available on a few networks now.

Given that you have a Z1010 I'm also going to wholeheartedly recommend the W900i. For the size you're getting 100x more than you do with the Z1010!
