I've just been sent a message from Orange, asking me to trial 'Orange One Phone' a service where your mobile automatically connects to your Livebox when you're at home so you use it as your home phone.

The priceplans on the trial are:

* £5 - 1000 mins to UK landlines
* £10 - 1000 mins to UK landlines + Orange mobiles
* £15 - 1000 mins to UK landlines + any UK mobile

they give you:

* Supply a new Nokia handset for mobile and home calls
* Credit equivalent to the cost of home line rental for the duration of the trial (£11 a month credited to your mobile bill)
* Give you free Orange Broadband for the duration of the trial
* Give you a £50 voucher to use in any Orange shop

Must have got the message cos i used to be on wanadoo broadband, shame I'm not anymore :(

Sounds good! Thanks for posting up the details!

Any idea how it'd work with your phone number? i.e. does the Nokia handset retain one mobile phone number whether it's being used over the livebox or a mobile network, or is the idea that it assumes the landline number when at home?

Interesting pricing...

When I was with Wanadoo I had an 0845 number that I could make free landline calls with, so I assume the wifi just connects you to the livebox then you get make calls from the 0845 number. Unless it connects to your normal phone line and you use your existing landline number, but I doubt it.
