My G/F recently got this handset on o2, now when she wants to transfer data across ie mp3 files, she gets them sent to her music folder, then she has to copy them to the card. Yet if she wants to use an mp3 as a ringtone, it seems to copy it back onto the phone, instead of accessing the memory card.

Can anyone advise how to send mp3 files straight to the memory card and if possible, access the card for ringtones?

Hmm, will it not even allow her to select ringtones that reside on the memory card? Or can she select them, but it simply doesn't work when called?

Accessing content from the memory card is often slower than using phone memory, sometimes by quite a lot, so utilising phone memory isn't necessarily a bad thing.
