From Netimperitive (18/04/2005):

Online gaming and sports content provider ukbetting has launched its first branded channel with mobile operator 3.

Customers will be able to access a range of free and paid-for football content, courtesy of Football365. Content will include the standard wallpapers, ringtones, editorial articles, competitions and quizzes, animations, and previews of upcoming Conference matches.

The Football365 site will be available through "Today on 3", the operator's video mobile news and entertainment channel. The site will be hosted by ukbetting and will be the sole provider of football content to the 3 network.

Another content provider joins the walled garden, eh? Fantastic to hear that there will be some free content, though I guess we'll have to wait and see what that will amount to. Sport is something all the 3G providers need to concentrate on as it's one of those things where devoted fans really will pay through the nose for 'anywhere' access. Simpletons like me, however, would also like to see some decent programming for news, current affairs etc etc... oh, and copious amounts of Big Brother :D

Lol, yeh the Football 365 pages are live now. It consists of

Rubbish Wallpapers and ringtones at £2.50 a go
Pictures of David Beckham lookalikes at 50p a go
A pointless daily poll at 25p a go

The only free stuff is 'mediawatch' which is rubbish, and 'sound off' which is also rubbish.

Can you tell im not really interested in this new content lol!

football 365 is a quality site compared to many out there but the pish poor version they have offered on 3 is basically the worst elements of a free website and they have the brass neck to charge people for it

I use football365 for info and results/live scores which is fine for an internet site but 3 already offer that service.

365 does however cover all divisions in England & Scotland plus major european leagues so if they provide this service to users then fair do's but if they leave it as it stands .... well you know where this is going.

The 365 wap site was much better - not even sure if it is still running

An own goal on 3's part methinks
