Well finally got my new n93 the other day.......took ages for it to arrive though, about 3 weeks after order!
I think stocks for the phone have run dry already.......from what most retailers of the phone are saying, resulting in a huge back log.

Anyway I got mine, he he.....and what can I say........big.....yep......but hey, it's beautiful

Been playing with it like a kid with a new toy for last few days....."the phone that is"........even managed to install the PC suite on my laptop and get the phone connected with out to much trouble for once:o ...... thanks (HandsOn) your tip about making sure not to connect the phone before installation made this job alot smoother.:)

N93........only bad comment so far is:

When you hold the phone in "camcorder" style mode........it's a bit difficult sometimes trying to press the main record button with your thumb without then getting your finger in the way of lens.......slightly annoying, but other than that.......it's great!

On a good point, I'm glad to see that nokia have improved the speed side of things when it comes to moving around and opening up different applications........my n70 takes quite a while moving around and opening up stuff........especially the gallery app.

Verdict so far, 9 out of 10.:D

Cor! Lucky git :D

How about posting up a few pictures taken with the N93 then - we keep hearing how good it is ...... p'raps a few pics may persuade us that Nokia are not telling us porkie pies this time round :p

Yes that'd be cool :D

I'd especially like to hear how you're getting on with it a few weeks from now.

Thanks for the write-up!

I got me one of these tonight from a friend of a friend who let me have it for £50. Bargain! :D What an awesome handset. Looks great in my trousers pocket ;) - must show it off to the girls in the office tomorrow :D

I've got it on my T-Mobile contract 'cos the li'l ole 6280 has gone west for a while. It should be back in about 2 weeks time. Meanwhile I got me this N63 in Nokia-standard unbranded and unlocked. Marvelous!!

I'll comment back on it in a while - going away for a week so will see how it performs as a Camcorder while in the sunny place :)

Well, I've had a day with the N93. Gawd what a behemoh it is! The thing could sink a battleship if launched from a torpedo tube! I'm taking it on holiday with me and am sure that it will take me over my baggage allowance. I might have to send it over by cargo carrier! Feck its a tad on the large size!!

I love it :D Imagine someone nicking it out of your pocket - you'd hear the hernia tear open as they lifted it out. I've gone on a course of anabolic steroids - standing with this thing on your ear is difficult - I found myself leaning up against a building to stop myself falling over. I've had to reinforce the coffee table after its legs buckled.

This is a seriously large and heavy phone/camera/computer/wireless doobry/what-have-you/thingy. I don't know what Nokia were on when they designed this but it should be legalised and I want first dibs ;)

As you can tell, I'm completely impressed and gobsmacked. Once I've got over its hugeness [oooh errrr] I'll get around to giving my impressions of the N93 (even though I don't normaly do impressions ...... ok its an old one I know). Suffice to say that it is rather sprightly for its size - not as quick as the N95 but it is not a long way behind. Unlike the N80 which is as slow as a very slow thing. The N93 whizzes along and its S60 does a reasonable impression of a computer thing.

More on all of this another time. I've got go have a Radox bath to sooth my acheing back after dragging the N93 up the stairs to put it on charge (did the lights dim just then?).

Cheeky beggar ;)

Don't jest about such things! This morning, on the way in to the office by motorcycle, I suddenly swerved across all three lanes of the dual-carriageway. Someone had sent me a text message to my N93 and I had inadvertently left the vibrate function on. The windows on the car alongside me shattered with the airwave caused by the N93 in my rucksack!

The Americans could have dropped a few of these in Afghanistan and ole Bin Liner would have come running out of the caves in surrender!

I learn that the N93i is of much leaner lines and weight - stuff Nokia, it cannot be half as much fun as this behemoth :D I just love the look on the unspecting faces as I whip my monster out - to answer a phone call or send a text.
