Message Tones/Videos

Hi, i've just got this phone today, and, i have a couple of problems.

First being, how do i set my Music tones (Downloads i believe the Folder is called) as Message Tones, i have no problem setting my normal ringtones, just not message tones.

And secondly, what format do video's have to be in? I've tried to BlueTooth over mpg, mpeg, wmv, and avi, and none of them are being taken, so i'm not sure what's needed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you can set music as your message tone on the z540. Videos need to be in .3gp format.

cheers for the reply, got a program called MP3 to Ringtone Pro, managed to set a music tone as mesage tone which is good.

Cheers for the Video format, will have to try and find a convertor for my videos now :)

A very good one is Xilisoft Video Convertor http://www.xilisoft.com/3gp-video-converter.html - it works very well, and is not at all expensive at $29 (USD). I have used it myself to encode various video formats to 3GP for a variety of handsets (Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung etc..) Its small, its quick, it does what it says on the tin :D

Which network or what network branding is your Z540? It is a delightful handset, shame its memory cannot be expanded, the only downside to it if you want to store lots of mp3 or video files.

well i found a convertor program this morning, did the job well, only a trial, but i may lok into getting it permenantly.

And i'm on Vodafone :)
