Woah! Any other WoW players out there?

I've just noticed that the background downloader is trying to pull a patch that's no less than 653MB! That's pretty big, though I guess it's all relative given that the game is 3-5GB!

This is certainly the largest patch I've had to pull to date. I daresay it's got something to do with the mid-Jan launch of the expansion? Fortunately the patch isn't required in order to play at the moment :)

Btw, if you haven't got WoW, you need a bloody good reason. It's the 'game of our time', and young or old this is something you need to have experienced. Things like this come along once in a lifetime, or, if you've been in the game as long as Hands0n, maybe twice.

Excuse me for being 28 now, but WTF is WoW?

Oh G!

http://www.wow-europe.com/

It's a 'massively multiplayer online role playing game', or MMORPG. Basically it's a game that emulates an actual world, where thousands of players play at the same time, doing quests together, trading together and, of course, killing one another.

Suitable for all ages, one of WoW's strengths is making it possible to play as often or as little as a player wants to. I don't exactly get much time, but when I do get on there I always have buckets of fun (to snatch the slogan from Diggerland, Kent's premier attraction...).

World of Warcraft (http://www.amazon.co.uk/World-of-Warcraft-PC-Mac/dp/B000197Z30/sr=8-1/qid=1164361300/ref=pd_ka_1/202-9182901-4065415?ie=UTF8) runs on PC and on Mac as a Universal application.

Another fellow Wow addict.

I agree about it being an experience you really have to try. But listen carefully to the warnings. It is more addictive than you could possibly imagine.

All I can say is '/played'....I really don't like to dwell on what I could have done with those lost days of my life.

I suppose you have to take South Park for what it is, an extremely clever, funny, rude, obnoxious and politically savvy cartoon of our time. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are geniuses! See: Team America World Police

Anyway, my brother is getting into WoW, and showed me this... I'm tempted to go buy it too!
