Sony Ericsson this week opened its first retail store, located in Kensington High Street, London. The store allows consumers to experience Sony Ericsson products first-hand and learn about new handsets and features from the experts.

Good stuff, Nokia used to have a dedicated store in Glasgow, then it shut... and Orange bought the space as they were next door and expanded their shop. As much as I like the presence of the manufacturers, I can only see their use as being that of an accessory supplier. I don't tend to have £350 that often to nip in and buy a SIM free handset!
