I couldn't decide where to put this, so it's here, if the mods want to move it please go ahead.
I've just installed fring (http://www.fring.com/) onto my N80, which is supposed to allow me to use both skype and google talk. You can use your wifi connection, so calls will be free. It's available on a range of Nokia handsets, but has only just been released for Symbian 9.
I made a test call and it worked well even though I'm not in a 3g area. I'll only use this app at home over my wifi connection.
Here are some of the features:
* Voice calls and chat over 3G and Wi-Fi
* Skype and Google Talk integration (Voice and Chat)
* History (Missed calls, Incoming/Outgoing calls)
* Improved voice quality compared with previous versions
Note: The Nokia N80 and N80i have been fully signed by Nokia. All other handsets are still in process. Therefore, you will be able to use them (with additional “warning” screen during installation) and GUI might be somewhat offset.
Anyone else using it?
