See, people have been jumping up and down about that Windows Mobile piece of garbage - when this is the real deal. Add in a SSD instead of the unspecified HD and I'd buy one in a heartbeat. If it'll play WoW at more than 15fps, I'll buy it in half :D

Will it be priced at PC levels though? I bet it'll be at least a grand...

Now one of the most interesting aspects of the Shift for me is how it will be sold. As the company's first proper mobile PC it is unlikely to be picked up by networks – as T-Mobile did with the Advantage – so HTC would appear to be going head to head with the likes of Samsung, Sony, Asus and OQO. Brave stuff.

Indeed, I'd have one tomorrow. Not sure I want to make phone calls on something that big! But as a data device it looks the dogs proverbials. Coupled with a sexy Mobile Data account and you'd have them lining the streets for one. Now who could deliver on that proposition? Let me see, T-Mobile with Web N Walk would have Mobile Internet In A Box completely sussed! I claim title to that particular bit of PR :D

Anywhere between 1-2k I'd have thought... small computing comes at a price :( However, HTC could have used some seriously naff components - it's too early to tell.

Just came across this while browsing around

Just imagine when some smart ass manages to get OS X to run on this ?

( is that a possibility ? ) ..... anyway , £999 doesn't seem too bad IMO
