Hands0n

I've had a rather pleasant start to the Easter holidays. As some will know I have started a new IT Manager job in London with a small Communications company. It has promise. I have just finished week two and need this four-day weekend :)
Imagine, then, my surprise when the Sales Director walks by my desk and says "Here's your company phone" and shoves a little-used Nokia N80 my way. No charger. No manual. No nothing really, box, memory chip etc.... I was lucky to get a SIM for it :D But hey! who's complaining - it is a near-mint N80!
Although supplied with a Vodafone SIM this handset is pure Nokia, completely unbranded. Very nice, high five :)
At this very moment is is running on firmware 3.0617.0.6 and is in the process of being updated to 4.0707.0.7 and thus an N80ie using the Nokia Software Updater.
I had always wanted one of these, and nearly followed Ben in getting one SIM-free when they came out. But after his horror stories I decided to stay well away from the N80! I'm happy to be given one (oooh errrr Mr Williams!!) but having had it in my pocket most of the day ...... I'm not immediately enamoured to it!
Next up is to check out Truphone! But I need to check out the company policy on data use!
