As described here (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4489485.stm), albeit with a picture that looks nothing like the ones on the Nokia flash site linked above, Nokia have gone all out with Carl Zeiss optics, a clam that is actually nicely designed, another phone with a sliding camera cover, and a phone with a 4GB hard disk - all due out this year.

The lineup looks impressive. The little N70 looks like it will certainly turn heads, and that N90 is probably the best clam Nokia have produced to date. The N91 is where it's at though, with Wi-Fi, a 2mp camera, 4GB HD storage and a slide down 'music controller' pad that reveals the standard keypad. Nokia "Nokia expects to become the largest seller of portable MP3 players this year." (!!!!!!!!!!!!)

What do you think? I think we're seeing Nokia going from strength to strength!

I cant understand how they make 3G capable handsets yet choose to exclude video calling capability?! Surely this is going to be one of the biggest money makers of 3G!?

Phones with two cameras have certain size requirements though, and when you're cramming in things like a 4GB hard disk it's a pretty easy sacrifice to make. I love the way Nokia are developing handsets that have and don't have video calling - I think they're exploring the data potential of 3G far more by doing so, and also encouraging 3G takeup with GSM-like handsets.

Edit: The N70 has video calling as well as the N90 - it's just the music player that doesn't.

Love em, love em, love em! I'll have all three thanks very much, one for the pub, one for work, one for that new pair of shoes I'm going to buy!
