Wouldn't it be great if someone made an standalone s60 app that allowed us to use PTT over IP - despite the fact that the Networks won't let us have it officially
surely this would be possible , wouldn't it ?

We are indeed long overdue true PTT. It doesn't make much sense that we don't have it as an option - it's just another revenue channel! Even if the networks did make it pricey, they could at least implement the (de facto standard?) Nokia PTT service so we don't have a useless button on our mobiles.

The way I see it ,they had their chance to make a few quid out of us on this one - I'd like to see the user community come up with an app that will do the same thing ? -surely it is not a world away from IM /push mail ? - Actually I remember Agile messenger actually had a crude PTT feature - so it is technically possible - but a lot of "fine tuning" would be needed to make the agile version useable on a regular basis
