I ran a speedstest at http://www.thinkbroadband.com using my T-Mobile Nokia 6280 on Web N Walk Plus. Although it has been confirmed that HSDPA is automatically on this tariff the handset itself is non-HSDPA. So only vanilla 3G is to be expected.

My PC says that I am connected at 460Kbps. But Speedtest tells a different story in terms of actual through put. Dowlink 288.43Kbps, Uplink 118.24Kbps. Saved score at http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest/results/id/1178305572524466326.html.

It is certainly better than nothing, it is certainly better than 2G at any level. But Broadband it aint :)

I'd like to see the same test with an HSDPA handset (gotta borrow a friends N95 if I can prise it out of his paws). But meanwhile, here's my Virgin Media results ...

Now thats more like it :)

Please post your T-Mobile data tests on here - lets compare :D

OT: Christ! How tight are Virgin Media with their uplink?! Even when my 8-meg is bombing out at around 3, I still get over 600k up.
