From Mobile Today (31/07/2007):

T-Mobile expects to double the number of people logging on to its web'n'walk internet service by the end of the year, with social networking sites and Vodafone's internet mobile ads driving mobile web use

T-Mobile said more than half a million people are regularly using its mobile Internet service, web'n'walk, and it expects to have a million signed up by the end of the year.

The network said 48% per cent of customers use their phones on public transport to update their social network pages and let the world track their movements.

Richard Warmsley, head of Internet on the Move at T-Mobile, said: 'We're witnessing a massive change in the way we socialise, driven by our ability to access the internet, through mobile and delivered at broadband speeds. Web'n'walk lets people socialise online, but it also allows them to access any Internet sites and services that they would on their PC – from shopping for the latest fashions to booking train tickets. By bringing the whole Internet to your phone, for a simple fixed cost, T-Mobile's web'n'walk is setting the Internet free.'

Web'n'walk is £7.50 per month for pay-monthly customers and £1 per day for unlimited web browsing on pay-as-you-go and pay monthly.
