View Full Version : Orange Delivery Report Charges: Get Money Back

You may remember that, a little while ago, Orange introduced a 1p flat fee on text message delivery reports.

I don't think anybody will disagree when I say that this is a disgusting, rip-off charge that makes absolutely no sense.

A friend of mine recently moved to Orange's unlimited texting plan. They use delivery reports, as many people do, and send a fair few texts.

They noticed their bills were higher than they should have been, some £5 higher. It'll come as no surprise that the charges were related to delivery receipts. Despite having an unlimited text package, these 'text messages' (as they were itemised) charges still take place.

Upon calling Orange they were able to get a £5 goodwill credit, but the charge remains in future.

The only way Orange will sit up and listen about these ridiculous charges is if more customers who are being charged, or have been charged, call up and demand similar compensation. I don't think it'd take many payouts for the company to sit up and listen.
