I'm thinking about this very hard indeed ..... Do I or don't I?

At these prices http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/CPUs+%2F+Processors/Intel/ it is very tempting to consider a Core2Duo upgrade of the Mac Mini. But then while the box is open why not pop in a Core2Quad? I can't see any reason that it won't work as it is a Socket 775 fit. OS X would make use of the quad cores, although the individual apps may not.

If truth be told, I don't use the Mac Mini "hard" enough to truly justify doing any of this. But I'm just thinking about the future, the Socket 775 will be superceded and then getting suitable processors will be difficult.

This is likely to be a Christmas Holidays project. What is the expert opinion of you lot? Do I or don't I? Which one :D
