An interesting snippet of recent news

Two bits of news: 1) 3 revealed it is near completion of a redesign of its portal which centres around a better music offering; 2) 3 is about to offer a pay as you go USB modem.

The full article from which this is culled is here http://chiswickken.typepad.com/ringtone/2007/11/visit-to-3uk-in.html

Good - anything that shakes up the mobile Internet and data market has to be welcome.

Yet another sign that 3 are actually thinking of new ways to create interest. I don't imagine there will be a massive demand for PAYG USB Mobile Broadband but it has to start somewhere and this could be just the thing for many who dont want tied to landlines and fixed charges.

We definitely need a competitive PAYG data offering for modem use. Here's to hoping that Three can take the torch, having already made such great progress in the contract arena.
