MELBOURNE, Australia and LONDON, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Leading mobile entertainment provider Jumbuck Entertainment Ltd (ASX code: JMB) has released the world's first 3D mobile chat room service, branded Jumbuck Island on O2 Ltd UK, the largest mobile carrier in Britain.

Jumbuck Island is a virtual world that enables mobile users to create and personalise their own characters and interact graphically with other characters in real time on a mobile handset. Characters can walk around the Island, seeing the sights, and meeting other people with whom they can chat openly or privately. Jumbuck Island includes a dance-floor, DJ area, beaches and the "Hollywood Pool" featuring deck chairs and water fountains.

"Jumbuck Island is an exciting addition to O2's content and messaging line-up," said Jon Talbot, O2's Messaging Product Manager. "The service also shows-off the capabilities of our new 3G network by merging a messaging service with something more like a game. O2 has been successfully offering Jumbuck's other messaging services since 2001 and we are delighted to be the first mobile carrier to launch Jumbuck's exciting new 3D chat room service, Jumbuck Island".

"Jumbuck invented Wireless Chatrooms in 2000, and built a business around providing them to mobile operators around the world," said Adrian Risch founder and CEO of Jumbuck. "Today we have continued this legacy of innovation with Jumbuck Island and are pleased to release the world's first 3D mobile chatroom service with O2 in the UK".

Jumbuck's Power Chat and Fast Flirting services delivered over one and a half billion page impressions to over 35 carriers worldwide in 2004. Jumbuck Island will be progressively rolled out across existing carrier clients around the world throughout 2005. The service will be backed-up by Jumbuck's world class 24/7 monitoring service.
