Culled from the O2 customer portal the following makes for interesting reading. This is based on the number of clicks to the product by visitors to the O2 website shop. Whether or not these translate into sales it is clear what the [at least] initial interest of the visitors are.

So there we have it, the N95 Classic still has the power to draw people in. They do seem to be as common as muck, every man and his dog seems to have one.

Interesting also that the LG Viewty and Apple iPhone are so far up the list given the amount of disdainful comments touchscreen seems to draw (especially in Apple's case) on the forums. El Reg cannot publish an article without the anti's jumping up and down in a frenzy :)

So, is your favourite handset in the list? What do you think?

Morning All!

Interesting seeing what people are looking at.
A couple of points that may be relevant.

All the top phones on the list are quite advanced which could mean one of two things.

1/ People are starting to want smarter phones which will benefit everyone in the long run.

2/ If you are savvy enough to check the website you will be by nature a bit more tekkie minded as opposed to being sold what is on promotion in the shop that day.

I have also noticed Sony Ericsson are becoming more popular although I have never been a fan of chocolate bar phones some of the latest are quite good.

There seems to be a lot of promotion going on still for the N95, probably because it's so much cheaper now and so, even with its gigantic spec sheet, can be given away for free on most tariffs.

The N95 8GB, on the other hand, is selling extremely well given that it's still demanding a premium. The N95 8GB is actually £200 more expensive than what I paid for it on my tariff on Vodafone at the moment - work that one out! And, despite the iPhone only being available on O2, it's only demanding a little more interest than the N95 8GB which can now be had from practically anywhere.

It's good to see the Viewty doing well, though it does nothing for me personally. That it should be generating lots of attention on O2 is a little odd considering that they are the only network selling the real thing, i.e. the iPhone.

I wonder if O2 has noticed that customers want 3G phones?
