Today Motorola did the honourable thing and spun off its disastrously performing handset business to create two independent, publicly-traded companies. The decision comes following the company's 31 January announced structural review.
Check out the link for full details, including a letter from a former Moto adviser. It begins "After making repeated attempts to contact you via your office, I am forced to write this open letter to publicly air my grievances concerning Motorola."

Recognize the superiority of American software.......

Err, what superiority would that be then? Everyone knows that British software is world-class, which is why so many Brits are exported to other nations. Then we have the upcoming Chinese and East Europeans and Russia - there are some superb examples of expert code coming from there (Parallels is Russian and was out ages before VMWare for the Mac for example).
