3 PAYG top-ups

Seeing as 3 don't seem to use swipe card like normal networks do, what are my alternatives?

I don't want someone in another country having my credit card details so I won't be registering my card with them so how do I top-up? I know I can do it in Carphone Warehouse but what about in normal newsagents etc where you can top up other networks, is there a way it can be done there?

Yes, you can top up a 3 PAYG SIM at any Paypoint - they're at petrol stations and news agents all around the country. you can also register your 3 SIM on their website on My3 - just set yourself up on there and you can admin the payment yourself.

Sorry perhaps I didn't make the question clear enough - but how do I do it if they don't give out swipe cards?

You walk into your local Paypoint, quote your 3 mobile number, they tap it into the machine, print you a receipt, relieve you of your tenner, job done.

At least that is how it was a year or so back, the last time I actually topped one up on 3.

OK thanks for that. I did it in Carphone Warehouse a few months back and it was as you said but I had to ring 3 and tap in the code on the receipt.

All I do is walk into the paypoint , ask for a Three top up voucher , then they print you out a voucher (which can then be used on any 3 PAYG mobile)

.....You then go into my 3 and input the code , and job is done - a bit like the old days !
