Just been randomly browsing around, as one does at 4am in the morning, and stumbled upon this: http://www.orange.co.uk/transmittermasts/home.html

Now if you've already seen it then shh, don't deprive me of my moment of discovery. Basically, Orange have taken the time to put together a nice little guide about how a mobile network works, how radio in general works, the history of radio.... etc etc, you get the idea. The pages include observations such as their 3G network requiring an extra mast for every four extisting masts in operation.

Check it out! It's an unnecessary but welcome guide that every network should boast.

Edit: You will most certainly want to try the FAQ: http://www.orange.co.uk/transmittermasts/faqs/

What a fantastic little find! Could you see me hanging from the towers?! ;) I completely agree, this is something the networks should push, inform people of what the stuff that they so fiercly protest against does. If anything, I think Orange should offer that little flash section in some form or another to the Ofcom site finder website, it would be of real benefit there.
