From Guardian Unlimited (23/05/2005):

Mobile phone company Orange has taken over from Vodafone as offering the best customer satisfaction to users on monthly contracts while Virgin Mobile has been named as best for pay-as-you-go users for the second year running.
The JD Power and Associates 2005 UK mobile phone customer satisfaction survey, published today, shows Orange scored 746 out of a possible 1,000 points among those on monthly contracts - eight points ahead of last year's top firm, Vodafone.

Virgin Mobile remains the champion of the pay-as-you-go sector with 753. Vodafone was again second in the pre-pay category after scoring 742.

The JD Power and Associates UK Mobile Telephone Customer Satisfaction Study was based on 2,200 telephone interviews conducted between March and April 2005.

Are these stats for GSM only? Seems odd not to have Three on there, or Tesco Mobile if they're going to include virtuals.

Are these stats for GSM only? Seems odd not to have Three on there, or Tesco Mobile if they're going to include virtuals.I'm not sure on the guidelines being used by JD Power but if it's a customer satisfaction survey then I assume that 3G will be included at some point.

I can only guess why three isn't included in the survey ;)

"3 doesn’t feature in the survey as there was an insufficient number of responses from 3 users to the survey, which polled around 2,000 mobile users."

LoL! So they found more Virgin users than Three users in the sample by quite a long shot, that'd lead me to believe. That speaks volumes!

Not surprising really...think how many NEC users will have dumped 3 by now.
