T-Mobile UK has started supplying iPhone 3G handsets to selected customers, while O2 UK continues to believe it has a UK exclusive on Apple's last-generation handset.

Apple's 3G handset won't be available to just any T-Mobile customer - only high spenders who threaten to leave need apply, and only 150 of those a week will be lucky enough to get their hands on an officially-supported T-Mobile iPhone, though even that risks annoying Apple and will certainly have O2 up in arms.

Its crazy and really underhand. . . or is it?

I'm saying its underhand, but in the eyes of the law its not. Its just -T-Mobile are just being sneeky about it. Its rather hilarious that they are using another networks flagship handset to appease their most expensive and valuable customers.

They must be quite desperate if they are going to the hassle of getting iPhones brought into the country to flog sim-free!

Does raise one good thing tho - Sim Free, UNLOCKED iPhones will be floating about the country now! Its a shame you have to be a valued -T-Mobile customer to get your mits on one!

It really is a testament to just how crucial the iPhone has been for O2, and what a body blow it has been for its rivals.

With rumors floating of -T-Mobile UK's supposed demise, these stories make their situation sound even more desperate!

Poor pink network!

Totally, -T-Mobile (funny tune) obviously can't afford to lose high spending customers right now, they need to keep their books looking as good as possible if they're to get good money for the business from a buyer.
