Nokia had fewer than 33,000 active users of its Comes With Music service in the UK nine months after its launch, according to leaked figures. Worldwide, Nokia had just over 107,000 users in nine world markets. The numbers were passed to consultancy MusicAlly, and were published on their blog.

Hmm. Looks like most folk are as excited by Comes With Music as I am.

Its not floating too many boats, is it?

What has it come to when Nokia cannot give away music?

Totally. I think the fact that it has to be linked to a PC might have something to do with it. Should be ready-to-roll on the handset.

Again, Nokia make it harder to do the stuff that is so simple on another two recent platforms.

Slight digression - I tweeted this evening

Steve Ballmer Microsoft and Nigel Clifford Symbian dismiss Google Android in 2007 http://bit.ly/ZwJSN - Time for them to eat dirt. #talk3g

Nigel Clifford's words sound very hollow two years on ...

I think the problem of it is its roll out. Nokia have been very very poor at actually getting into the users hands. I mean they release a phone, and then a good 4 months on (at least) they release a CWM device for £50-£100 more. If they just released it with the device in the first place it would be a lot more successful. Everyone who wanted that phone would have already brought it and alot changes in 3-6 months of phones, so essentially they are just releasing it on old handsets! I really feel that they could have a selling point with it as I have used it and it does actually work really well, they just need to start rolling it out correctly!
