Now I don't know if this is old news , and I simply missed the point , but I hadn't contemplated the idea of Android running on "non phone" based devices ! - Make sense I suppose if Android is supposed to be doing battle with OS X etc.

Oh yes, I have seen the Android-powered Archos player. Its fairly recent, and we should expect more.

I have run up Android on a netbook - basically it was a waste of time. It looked like an Android phone :D and behaved like one in terms of screen and menus. But unless software arrives for the larger devices I am at a bit of a loss to see the point.

But maybe 2010 will change all of that as other netbook manufacturers start offering it as an alternative OS.
