Apple's iPhone now accounts for 50 per cent of worldwide smartphone usage, according to a new report. But off in the distance, there's an Android approaching.

A testament, really, to the power and superiority of mobile Safari. There simply is no better handset for web browsing than the iPhone right now. Say what you will about Flash!

It'll be interesting to see what the stats say next year when more Android handsets are out.
