Nokia bought Navteq in 2007, today they announced that the are releasing a new version of Ovi Maps with free walk (pedestrian) and driving (car) turn-by-turn, voice guided navigation functionality. Ovi Maps has global coverage, with 74 countries covered by its navigation services. Maps for all regions will be available, for free, for loading over the air or pre-loading via a desktop computer. Traffic information and city guides, from Lonely Planet and Michelin, will also be made available at no extra cost. There's an initial set of devices, in terms of availability, with more compatible devices to follow.

the E72 version works on the N86, the 5230 version works on the 5530, etc.

You need either a s60 3rd edition FP2 devices, or a s60 5th edition touchscreen device to install this.

the N97 classic does not have enough space on it's C: drive to download directly from www.nokia.mobi/maps/dl but you can download it to your pc and transfer across, it takes up 9mb on the C: drive
