The first run of the Apple iPad has, apparently, sold out (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/03/29/ipad_shipping/) in pre-order. New pre-orders wont be shipping until 12th April.
This information is perhaps a little meaningless without numbers of exactly how many iPads have been produced to date, but that supply has been outstripped by demand will certainly be putting a smile on the faces of Apple execs and bodes well for the device going forward.
We're yet to see, of course, what people will make of the device once they actually get their hands on it.
