Price, low. Desirability, also low. I'd be very interested to hear some experiences of owning/using one of these!

I really want to be impressed by the Streak !!

First time I went to look at one , I got sidetracked by and iPad ,

Second time I looked in the O2 shop , they had one clamped into a "vice" like thing so tightly that it was distorting the screen , there was "No Service" on the Cellular front , and no Wifi either ..... I tried to get the attention of an assistant , but to no avail .

Third time was Sunday , different o2 store , Streak in same "vice" thing which was far too tight again , Dell Streak was frozen ....thought "sod this" . and left !

I'd perhaps be a bit more tempted to take a chance on the streak if it used a Micro USB port instead of a 30 pin Proprietry connector (for which leads cost >£30 a pop !! OK , I realise Apple do the same thing , but iPod connectors are as common as muck - every drawer seems to have one !! , and if you so wish , cheap generic ones are only a couple of quid. I think If Dell had used USB (and Android 2.1) ...the Streak would be a far more tempting option.

Wow, you've seen 2 and neither work? And the stand actually bends the device?

Sounds good so far!

That will be typical of O2, snatching failure out of the hands of success :D

Hmm , about this unbreakable Gorilla glass .....

How did Paul from Modaco do this ? ...dropped it out of a helicopter ?....

Was it hit by a meteorite ?

....erm , No ! he simply picked it up off his desk ! It had never left the house apparanty !

There are some odd looking horizontal lines on that glass, I can't make out what they are, but they do look rather odd to me.

The main fracture seems to be from stress - possibly there is something in the glass mounting that we cannot see that has put a permanent stress on that sheet of glass? Or just a plain and simple manufacturing defect in the glass itself.

Unless we start to see more of these turning up on the Interwebs I would be inclined to put it down to a one-off production fault at the glass factory. Those pesky gorillas are prone to lose their focus, short attention spans and that kind of stuff. :D
