The Advertising Standards Authority has ruled that Orange’s claim to have the UK’s largest 3G network is misleading, following a protest from rival operator 3.

Nice to see the ASA slapping the networks for advertising incorrectly. With any luck they will smack the networks hard for their use of the term "unlimited" in their deals.

It is about bleedin' time too. I once complained about "Unlimited" data plans and the ASA threw it back that the mobile ops were using the word legitimately even if not in strict conformance of the Oxford dictionary definition of the word. Pathetic response really. So I can't find myself feeling grateful that they're finally calling the claims to account.
